How Do We Learn to Care is a site-specific miniature shrine by Austin-based artist Yevgenia Davidoff. By joining maternal and caretaker labor with threatened local plant life, How Do We Learn to Care proposes that ecological responsibility begins in the smallest gestures of nurture, repetition, and love.

Yevgenia Davidoff is an Austin-based artist. She works across sculpture, painting, and installation, transforming everyday materials into intimate and immersive forms. Her practice bridges fine art, design, and environmental reflection through a distinct material language.

Davidoff’s work explores how domestic spaces, objects, and daily rituals shape the values by which we live. Using cast cement made from discarded packaging, painted glass, and botanical imagery, she connects care within the home to care for the local ecology. Her installations and objects invite close attention to what is often overlooked, discarded, or taken for granted.

Cómo Aprendemos a Cuidar es un santuario en miniatura creado específicamente para Austin, la ciudad donde reside la autora Yevgenia Davidoff. Al combinar el trabajo maternal y de cuidado con la flora local amenazada, Cómo Aprendemos a Cuidar propone que la responsabilidad ecológica comienza con los gestos más mínimos de crianza, repetición y amor.

Yevgenia Davidoff vive en Austin y trabaja en escultura, pintura e instalación, transformando materiales cotidianos en formas íntimas e inmersivas. Su práctica tiende un puente entre las bellas artes, el diseño y la reflexión medioambiental a través de un lenguaje material distintivo.

La obra de Davidoff explora cómo los espacios domésticos, los objetos y los rituales cotidianos dan
forma a los valores por los que nos regimos. Utilizando cemento moldeado a partir de envases desechados, vidrio pintado e imágenes botánicas, conecta el cuidado del hogar con el cuidado de la ecología local. Sus instalaciones y objetos invitan a prestar especial atención a lo que a menudo pasa desapercibido, se descarta o se da por sentado.
