From Blunn Creek Nature Preserve: Travis Benton's " In Place"

The ROAM Museum is a traveling exhibition project that celebrates Austin’s park preserves and fosters deeper connections to these natural spaces. In 2026-2027, six Austin-based artists present their work during a two-month residency in a different preserve, creating site-responsive pieces that highlight the significance of the City’s protected landscapes.

When weather permits, each ROAM exhibition is paired with a special Arts in Action event featuring an artist talk and an opportunity to give back to the parks we love through activities like cleanups, trail maintenance, and BioBlitzes.

The Really Small Museum, curated and coordinated by artist Juliet Whitsett, will present this series of installations, inspiring reflection, sparking dialogue, and cultivating a lasting appreciation for Austin’s natural environments.

CURRENT PROJECT: Really Small Museum at Austin Nature & Science Center

The Really Small Museum at the Austin Nature & Science Center presents an eco-art series that highlights local habitats, species, and/or the ecological topics of concern in and within 100 miles of Austin. From June to November, local artists present work that fosters reflection, dialogue, and deeper connection to the natural and cultural landscapes of our region.
